TREASURE CUP CHAMPION 🏆 I won the Lucca Treasure Cup with a 10-0 score playing Nami 🌩️ @LuigiAmatoTCG and I cooked the perfect list, and it paid off, winning two tournaments back-to-back. A special thanks to my girlfriend, my friends, my travel companions, and my team @NOVO_TCG @NOVOEsports I finally did it 🏴‍☠️ Thank you all for the support ❤️

I've been testing Nami for OP16, and I think 10-cost Newgate is the worst card in the deck, it could even be correct to cut it entirely and play 0 copies. Against Rosinante, you risk it getting KO'd by Sakazuki Lightning. Against Teach, it gets frozen by Teach blocker. Against UG Luffy, it gets frozen by Boa or rested by 4-cost Luffy. Against Enel, it’s a dead card. The only real reason to play it would be for the mirror match, which will probably become much less popular.

Here are my results with Nami across these three tournaments: 10-0 and 🥇 at the Lucca Treasure Cup 9-1 and Top 8 at the Venice Regional 7-3 at the Lucca Regional I can proudly say that I never lost a Nami mirror across all three events. Marco MVP. Now it's time to start cooking for OP16 👨🏻‍🍳

Unstoppable 👑
Back to back to back to back and fourth top in a row with Lucy at Lucca Regional. 9-1 and 3rd place with a lucky swiss. Same list I played throughout the op15 format.

Laffitte, my favorite card in Teach, is probably bait. It’s only strong in favored matchups and very weak in unfavored ones and won't make the cut in the deck. It's a sad day 😔

Here’s my updated OP16 Tier List. The impression I've gotten from this first week of OP16 is that the meta will probably be a jungle, but Tier 1 decks likely won't change much. The only leader that I think will truly join T1 is BY Teach. Almost every OP16 leader struggles against both Enel and Nami, and the only leader that really breaks this trend is Teach. Yamato, Rosinante, and GU Luffy are all solid choices for mid-level tournaments, but at a high-level event like a Regional, they would probably run into too many Enel and Nami players. Among these three, GU Luffy is probably the weakest option because it also loses to Rosinante and has a significantly worse matchup against Enel. The strongest of these T2 leaders is, in my opinion, Rosinante, since it has favorable matchups against almost every deck except Nami and Enel. Ace is definitely one of the biggest winners of OP16. It gained several favorable matchups, and the new additions make the Enel matchup a bit more manageable. However, Teach remains a huge problem for it. RG Luffy sits in the T1.5 because, despite having a bad matchup against Teach, it's the only leader that beats all of the T2 decks while also having decent matchups against both Enel and Nami. One of the leaders that suffers the most in OP16, unfortunately, is Lucy. A lot of aggressive decks and full tempo/aggro-ramp strategies, such as Rosinante, have entered the meta, making the meta much tougher for Lucy.

UG Luffy and Yamato are two incredibly fun decks, but I don't think they can beat Enel. What a sad life ☹️

Hello everyone, something really unfortunate happened at the Venice Regional: a 14-year-old member of our community, our good friend Pingu, had two decks stolen and they were never found. Because of this, he was forced to drop from the tournament. We decided to start this fundraiser to turn a terrible experience into a positive message. We want to show him that this kind of act does not represent our community, but was only an isolated incident. The goal is to give him something symbolic but meaningful: a prize card of his favorite character, Katakuri, so he can keep dreaming and continue believing in the passion that brings us all together… One Piece Card Game. Every contribution, even a small one, can make a difference. Let’s show Pingu the best side of this community ❤️ @Montre_OP gofundme.com/f/community-4-p…

This is truly what's special about the One Piece community❤️ If you have any news about Teach's deckbox containing Belo Betty and Bonney G, it's from a 14-year-old boy who loves this game like everyone else and I don't want it to turn into a terrible memory, please contact us 🙏
Top 8 at the Venice Regional. It was a very special event, full of both amazing and really awful emotions. As for the Swiss rounds and the top cut, I’ll post all the matchups later on. I played Enel — the deck is extremely solid, even though the matchup against Nami still feels like praying to the god of luck every single time (4 Varie are absolutely necessary for that matchup). Not much more to say about the deck itself. The current meta doesn’t really excite me, but playing Enel basically allows you to consistently go X-2 in most cases and then hope to make top cut. I’m really happy with this result because after a disappointing World Championship, I needed a result like this to start believing in myself again. The best moment I experienced this weekend was thanks to Roberto Rondino(@RobertoOPTCG). We played against each other, and on my lethal attack he played double spell and said, “I block.” Without overthinking it, I scooped, told him he had been a bit lucky since he had literally seen everything, and walked away smiling because there wasn’t much else I could do. While we were waiting for the next round, he thought back to the match and realized that my lethal had actually gone through, because with double spell his leader was at 11k and my Senor Pink was also 11k. He literally chased me through the venue to tell me, and even though I was completely fine with the result because I hadn’t noticed it myself, he still wanted to go to the judges and change the result. To me, this is the beauty of the One Piece community and the bond that has been created between players. After all these years, we’ve all become friends. So thank you, Robi, sincerely, for what you did. It wasn’t something to take for granted. The negative part of the weekend instead comes from the fact that a 14-year-old kid, at his very first event, got his deck stolen. Even though both @LuigiAmatoTCG and I tried to help find it, it never showed up, and he even had to drop from Sunday’s Treasure Cup. Leaving aside the deck’s economic value — which honestly wasn’t even that high (and if it had been, it would’ve only made things worse) — I find this absolutely disgusting. Especially when someone approaches card games while still being a kid, the community should protect them, not take advantage of them like vultures. For me, this was a missed opportunity to show the beautiful side of this community, something that unfortunately gets ruined by a few people who can only be described as rats. To finish, congratulations to @fedemeco_ — an incredible player, despite playing a deck with… questionable qualities (lol). Four Italians have won the last four Regionals. That’s just proof that in Italy, at least in this game, an incredible amount of work is being done, and I’m proud of that. Match up: 1) Enel W 2) Nami W 3) Lucy W 4) Lucy @RobertoOPTCG W❤️ 5) Croco (live) W 6) Nami W 7) Nami W 8) Enel L 9) Enel L 10) Nami W Top cut: 32 (Enel) WLW 16 (Lucy) WLW 8 (Nami) @fedemeco_ LL

And with this one, I’m up to 15x top 32 or better, including a Worlds invite, 4x runner-up finishes, and 9x top 8s. I’ve finally completed my goal of achieving at least one top 16 with every color in the game ⚫️🟡🟢🔵🔴🟣 But at the end of the day… I’m still SO hungry. There are still a few things left, winning an event, and if possible, the World Championship too 👀 As always, I’ll give it my all. See you in Lucca 🏴‍☠️
