Ce:LYSO gemstones are back! They all have a bright blue fluorescence, and some have a bit of a blue afterglow as well. You'll need to cup your hands around the stone after charging to see it, but it's pretty neat. LYSO is used as a scintillator and is a cool gemstone. #合成沼

We just got our Sm:YAG experimental boule! instagram.com/gemsofscience/… This is a rare labmade crystal normally used for pressure sensing in diamond anvils. We got a custom boule grown for us, and it turned out great. Bright orange fluorescence on a clear crystal! #合成沼
