there are certain things one just doesn't do. stay in bed past 8 a.m., watch tv during the day, take the last piece of anything, or eat sweets for breakfast

That is that. The wait for a World Cup win for Egypt goes on. "Out of shape" Romelu Lukaku the difference maker.

It looks like this one is heading for a draw. We've had quite a few of those already haven't we? Good ball into the box but Hamza Abdelkarim can't quite get there.

It's day five of the World Cup and we're all talking about pretzels and nachos. I dread to think what day 25 will be like

I think in most press boxes it is an unwritten rule that you don't celebrate but I am very much enjoying the passion for the game the Egypt journalists have. I am not sure how much writing they are getting done as

they are all right on the edge of their seats as Egypt press for a late winner.

What a luxury for Belgium to have. Romelu Lukaku has seen better days, but as a substitute, with his ability and size, he really can't help but change a game. Imagine, as a defender, having to deal with a fresh Lukaku, 70 minutes into a game played under a baking sun?

It's a beautiful ball in. Romelu Lukaku gets the header all wrong. It comes off the top of his head. He knows he should've done better

That's it! Canada come from behind to claim their first ever point at the World Cup. Bosnia will be disappointed not to win, but this could prove to be a key point. We have our first draw of the tournament.

Larin gets the ball right in front of goal, takes a touch, shoots, but it's a stunning block from Muharemovic! That was a huge chance for Canada right at the end.

Katic is more than happy to take a yellow card there. He didn't want Larin running away from him

It felt like Cyle Larin had done everything right...

That might be the moment! The ball falls to Cyle Larin just outside the six yard box but Tarik Muharemovic dives at his feet to block his shot. Heroic defending

Canada should be winning this, how they've contrived to not score is an absolute mystery

Didn't envisage thinking this in 2026 but this may be the nicest referee kit I've ever seen

Much better from Canada, much more on the front foot, much more in their face and much more energy from the subs coming on and making an impact. You just get the feeling that if they get one this stadium could really elevate them.

Canada has earned something from this. Loads of possession, plenty of chances. Take the scoreline out of it and it’s been pretty encouraging.

That's the second-half hydration break — not what Canada will want when it has so much of the momentum

Neither of these side will be troubling the scorers when it comes to discussing eventual winners but this is an entertaining game. You have to love, too the dress sense of Bosnia’s Head Coach Sergej Barbarez, in his double-breasted blue suit and ice white t-shirt.

He looks like he’s arrived straight from a polo match, he just needs a glass of Pimm’s and pair of shades to complete the ensemble

Bosnia have a chance to break down the right through Esmir Bajraktarevic, but the youngster doesn't get rid of the ball quickly enough and is crowded out at the edge of the box. Canada then go up the other end and win a free-kick in a dangerous area, but it comes to nothing.
