Wigan UK: AWP co-hosted a peaceful protest outside Wigan Town Hall today, with Cheshire Animal Rights Campaigns, asking Wigan Council to use its voice as a stakeholder in Manchester Airports Group PLC to help end the imports of macaque monkeys into the UK, via Manchester. /

The macaques are flown into Manchester Airport for onward journeys to vivisection laboratories across the UK.
We now hope the issue will be raised at full council on 22nd July.
