Just before the last election, Scott Morrison snuck into Kooyong - no invite, no photo with Frydenberg. Tonight, Dutton does the same, meeting Hamer behind closed doors. They want Kooyong's vote, but won’t face Kooyong. Cowardly. Pathetic.

I'm told Peter Dutton is campaigning at the Tower Hotel in Hawthorn right now - a venue whose operator was recently charged with 38 offences for failing to protect people from gambling harm. The fines from the VGCCC for these offences are reported to be up to $2,145,072. /1

Day 2 of ignoring council orders at Kew pre-poll, and the Liberals have escalated - they’ve sent in Liberals in blazers to show they mean business. Council officers are snapping pics. Hope the Liberals have budgeted for fines. Those fossil fuel donations will come in handy.

Wow, I thought I was just capturing an odd Liberal campaigning tactic on Glenferrie Road. Turns out it was the Exclusive Brethren - a hardline religious evangelical sect - out campaigning for Amelia Hamer. What's going on?

Is it an odd campaign strategy to send 50–60 in Liberal t-shirts, some who look barely 14, yelling their way up and down the high street? If feels like that moment in the last campaign when Josh deployed walking human billboards.

A significant reduction in Liberal volunteers for Amelia Hamer today after religious sect / cult members from the Exclusive Brethren were told to stay away. I guess the religious infiltration wasn’t a great look once the public found out?

Peter Dutton needs to find voters who love his plan to make life harder for students as much as Amelia Hamer does…

This morning Amelia Hamer tried to steal every bit of spot for a sign at Malvern Prepoll. In 2022, we had a respectful relationship with Josh Frydenberg’s team to limit signs and volunteers. This behaviour is childish, petty, and unbecoming for someone seeking office #auspol

Public Service Announcement for Kooyong voters heading to Prepoll voting today.

Voting in Malvern today? You probably won't be able to park. Amelia’s American-size monster trucks have claimed most of the parking real estate.

Canada didn’t torch it — the mob boss running the United States did.
HOLY SH*T. Canada just torched its alliance with the U.S. Carney didn’t mince words: “The old relationship we had with the United States—based on deepening integration of our economies and tight security and military cooperation—is over.” That’s not a policy disagreement. That’s a geopolitical divorce. And it’s all unraveling in real time.

Consistently solid turnouts. @DebLeonard already has extremely strong support in the south of her electorate, and her support in the north is looking increasingly solid. Keep an eye on Monash. This could be one seat that decides the 48th parliament.
Politics in the Pub in Warragul last night was fantastic! Great discussions on infrastructure for our region and a mutual agreement that Monash has been left behind by the major parties in terms of federal funding. Thanks to all who attended. #peoplepoweredpolitics

Great to be able to rejoin the @Mon4Kooyong campaign after months away! Doorknocking in the rain and happy to have been asked to install 10 yard signs as a result! Kooyong includes Toorak and Malvern now and could come down to a couple hundred votes. Time to volunteer! #auspol

Right boy wonder. And what should Australia do when Trump comes gunning for Australia’s agriculture exports, our social media regulation, our universities, and our pharmaceutical benefits scheme. Just take it lying down?

20 yrs ago, I wrote a book about the Australia-US FTA. I worried that the US would try to destroy our PBS scheme which provides prescription drugs at affordable prices to Australia. It’s one of our most important social welfare programs. Guess what? theage.com.au/politics/feder…

Will PM Albanese speak this plainly when Trump whacks tariffs on Australia’s aluminum exports? Or will it just be weasel words… #auspol #Auspol2025
🇨🇦 Canada’s incoming Prime Minister, Mark Carney, just put Donald Trump in his place shortly after being selected by the Liberal Party: “A person who worships at the alter of Donald Trump will kneel before him, not stand up to him” “These are dark days. Dark days brought on by a country we can no longer trust.” “My government will keep tariffs on until the Americans show us respect.” He’s not playing around. Trump has pissed off the Canadians.

Today, the United States launched a trade war against Canada: their closest partner and ally — their closest friend. Canadians are reasonable, but we will not back down from a fight. Not when our country is at stake.

Trump has been relying on US allies to be intimidated into silence, and not stand up for each other. 🇩🇰 PM Mette Fredriksen was blindsided over Greenland but is now standing up to Trump. So are all the 🇨🇦 Canadian leaders. Other countries need to do the same - together and fast.
🇩🇰 Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen rejected the American president’s remarks, saying, “Zelenskyy is a democratically elected and, by the way, an extraordinarily capable political leader in Europe, who (…) has fought every single day for the peace, freedom, and security of Europe, and thus also for the Americans.” Denmark ❤️
