4 July was Doddie’s Birthday & we're encouraging everyone to wear a little (or a lot) of tartan on the day to raise awareness of MND 🔵🟡 We hope this is a fitting way to pay tribute to the big man & urge everyone to get involved to turn 4 July tartan for MND for years to come🤝

Annual lab away day - the rain having scuppered our plans to roast in the sun in North Berwick, we've opted for the faaancy Balcony room at Old Moray House. Such big smiles, playing the lab-inspired Codenames and Herd Mentality☀️🤩 @GillingwaterLab

The now traditional @GillingwaterLab Christmas quiz was as excellent as ever and, after a fierceful competition, the trophy is *back* in its rightful place. Above my desk, until next year...?

Not-very-responsible reporting from @BBCNews. Established secure people on full-time contracts (such as myself) get these kinds of salaries. The big issue is that the system relies on a lot of folk living hand-to-mouth on fractional bits and pieces... bbc.co.uk/news/education-594…
