The year is 2058. The Melbourne bike lanes have been ripped up and reinstalled for the 62nd time. The average daily temperature is 45° and trees no longer exist but the council is still unsure on the viability of sustainable transport

"British Cycling’s ultimate aim is to create a safer cycling environment knowing that the safest places in the world to cycle also have the lowest rates of helmet use." britishcycling.org.uk/about/…
Bicycle Network has amended its five-year-old helmet policy, which did not support mandatory bicycle helmet laws, back to our previous long-standing position, which did. ow.ly/2JGs50RB34s

My kid cycled to school for the first time today. When we hit the Upfield bike path she took off like a rocket. Kid-friendly infrastructure is joyous

Now this is bravery from a local government @MerribekCouncil 👀
I visited Pontevedra, Spain to meet its car-free mayor, who says stuff like this: "It's not my duty as mayor to make sure you have a parking spot. It's the same as if you bought a cow or a refrigerator, and then asked me where you're going to put them." fastcompany.com/90952175/thi…
