๐โฝ Inspiring a love of reading through the power of football!
We were delighted to welcome 90 Year 5 pupils from Coates Way, Watford St Johnโs, and Willow Tree to Vicarage Road for our Premier League Primary Stars Author Day as part of the National Year of Reading initiative.
From football-themed literacy activities and creative workshops with visiting author @sethburkett , to a special visit from Harry the Hornet, the day was packed full of creativity, learning and fun โค๏ธ
A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the event so memorable, including Matt Turmaine, @Anna_Filbey99, the Premier League Foundation, the @Literacy_Trust and our fantastic partner schools.

This week, we were proud to deliver our Premier League Primary Stars workshops for Childrenโs Mental Health Week๐
We were joined by the brilliant @Anna_Filbey99 from @WatfordFCWomen , as pupils explored belonging and what it truly means to feel safe, happy and included.
The class also took part in a competition, in which all Premier League Primary Stars Schools came together to raise awareness of Children's Mental Health by designing their very own inclusive football stadium around the theme 'This is my place'.
They thought carefully about:
๐ Features that help people feel calm, confident and happy
๐ How their stadium would support positive mental health
๐ How their design represents themselves and their community
The creativity has been incredible โ from quiet wellbeing zones to celebration spaces that bring everyone together!
Winners will be chosen very soon, so keep an eye out for the winning entries ๐๐
