Congratulations to Lincoln Folo on his appointment as Federal Director of the Liberal Party. A respected campaigner with real experience and a deep commitment to Liberal values. I look forward to working with him. Thank you to Andrew Hirst for nine years of outstanding service.

Older Australians deserve care decisions crafted by clinicians, not algorithms. Labor put an untested algorithm system in charge of life-changing aged care assessments without proper consultation, live trials or transparency. Older Australians deserve better.

Federal Council is always a reminder of why this work matters. Standing alongside @SenatorCash and @SenatorHume this weekend. Two of the most capable, committed people in Australian politics, and two of my fellow Liberal leaders. I couldn't feel more optimistic about where we're headed. @AngusTaylorMP has set the agenda. @HonTonyAbbott is organising the fightback. And we are ready.

Older Australians deserve honesty about aged care wait times but after four years of Labor the waiting list is double what it was when Anthony Albanese came to power. Mark Butler will tell you Labor's record is "incredibly pleasing." Hardly, it means 100,000 older Australians are being denied the care the Government has assessed them as needing.

Higher taxes on housing, investments, small business and family inheritances will hurt hardworking Australians already doing it tough. Australians deserve lower taxes, stronger growth and a government that lives within its means. Sign the petition to say NO to Labor’s tax hikes. lnkd.in/gsiyETg5

Labor’s attack on private health rebates is another hit to older Australians already doing it tough. More than 3 million Australians over 65 could be forced to pay more for the health cover they rely on. Seniors deserve support not higher costs and longer waits. If you agree, sign the petition and stand up for older Australians. 👇 liberal.org.au/handsoffhealt…

Today Australia lost a true fighter. Neale Daniher showed the nation what courage, resilience and determination look like in the face of Motor Neurone Disease. His fight inspired millions, united communities, and changed lives forever through his tireless advocacy and the incredible work behind FightMND. A legend of the game. A giant of humanity. Rest in peace, Neale. Your legacy will never fade. đź’™

Labor is hitting Australians over 65 with higher private health insurance cost making healthcare more expensive for seniors who rely on it most. Sign the petition and help stop Anthony Albanese's attack on older Australians’ private health insurance. liberal.org.au/handsoffhealt…

Anthony Albanese’s latest aged care backflip is yet another sign Labor is making policy on the run. After months of uncertainty, the Government has delayed Support at Home price caps at the last minute because providers were given no detail and no time to prepare. Older Australians deserve certainty, not chaos. Labor’s excessive red tape is driving up costs and taking resources away from frontline care

As Dr Michael Gannon writes in The Australian, “Diminishing the access of older Australians to acute healthcare… is inefficient and callous.” It is retirees and pensioners not wealthy Australians who will pay the price for Labor’s new private health tax. Join us in the fight for older Australians and demand Labor scrap this unfair tax on private health insurance.

Labor’s Budget is full of broken promises and higher taxes.

Labor will slug seniors up to $1600 more for their private health cover and reduce access to essential healthcare for all Australians. Australians don’t deserve a Budget of broken promises and higher taxes.

Labor’s new private health tax will hurt around 3.2 million older Australians, including hundreds of thousands of pensioners living on fixed incomes. All it will achieve is more hip‑pocket pain for pensioners who have to scrimp and save to pay their own way, while forcing those who cannot afford it into the public health system, which we all pay for.

Anthony Albanese is forcing older Australians to pay more for private health insurance at a time when they can least afford it. This is a reckless move that will drive seniors out of their health cover and heap even more pressure onto our already overstretched public hospitals, leaving taxpayers to foot the bill.

Labor has slugged older Australians with a secret new tax, slipped through without consultation, hitting people at their most vulnerable stage of life. First they hit older Australians with higher private health costs, now they are taxing aged care living fees. Older Australians must not pay the price for Labor’s budget mismanagement. This is just hit after hit.

Labor promised to put the care back into aged care, but instead they’ve stripped out the humanity and replaced it with a computer. Anthony Albanese continues to ignore the fact that older Australians with degenerative conditions, such as MND and dementia, are having their funding cut under Labor’s flawed assessment algorithm. What more evidence does he need before he finally backs down and reinstates human override?

Today marks the start of the largest increase to private health insurance premiums in a decade and it comes in above the rate of inflation. Whether it’s at the petrol bowser, the GP reception desk or when paying your energy and insurance bills, the cost-of-living pressures continue to mount under Labor.

The Coalition has joined with colleagues from right across the Parliament to demand action from the Albanese Government on its aged care failures, including its flawed assessment algorithm that has no human override, as well as rising administrative costs and rationed care.

Minister Butler’s QT performance is nothing but a desperate attempt to launch Mediscare 4.0 🥱 When Labor runs to Mediscare, you know they are desperate to distract from their failures. It’s time Labor stops using Medicare as its political plaything and starts focusing on bringing down costs for Australian patients - who are now paying more than $50 on average to see a GP from their own pockets.
