This study by the Stroke Research Center Bern shows that cardiovascular diagnostics in ischemic stroke are #BeyondEtiology of the index event. They might also serve to pick up comorbid cardiovascular disease due to shared risk factors.

Stroke in the young is different and challenging. There is an increased prevalence of traditional risk factors already at a young age, but also special risk factors, including those that are either unique or more common in women.
