Just realised this time exactly a year ago I was at my book launch party 🤯
It was a mammoth task to be there as someone who’s 99% housebound and can’t stray far from bed
But I’m SO happy I got to celebrate finishing my trilogy with people I care about
A lone daffodil against a stormy sky for today's photo taken in Glastonbury. As we welcome Meteorological Spring today I don't think Winter is quite ready to leave us being as it is now raining and very grey. 😂#spring
I LOVE this book: The Christmas Kitchen Mice and I have just sent it to a much loved Grandchild. The illustrations are meaningful and beautiful, with so much detail and lots of emotion. Plus some activity pages for parents, a rare treat !

There are so many celebrities bringing out Children’s books just because they can!! What about doing an indie author feature about those of us who self publish and have a good understanding of what Children like to read? @DailyMirror@Telegraph@DailyMail@YouMagazine
As we say goodbye to british summer time for another year & the clocks go back - Here is my knitted "Summertime sheep" cushion cover to brighten up a cold Saturday night 🌼❤️🌸🐑🌳
Oh goody, Keira Knightley’s children’s book comes out tomorrow. And she’s already been on This Morning and BBC Radio 4 to promote it.
Whhhhy don’t we give this coverage to authors who don’t already have a platform?!
So interesting that some -not all - Literary Fairs are really against indie authors who self publish !! I’ve had one come back this week that says I’m not a published Author!! Well Sorry , I am - with over 30 years Early Years experience of what children like to read!
As we leave another month & what a busy month it had been. Here are some of my woolly knits that left The Yorkshire Grey Sheep HQ . Goodbye July, it has been fun 🐑❤️
And so it begins.
My mum battled wind, drizzle and seasalt spray in her first story reading session of the year outside her local village shop.
Three hours of work - one trilogy set sold.
What would I do without her help selling my books?!
“My favourite character was definitely Toby because he is quiet but ferocious.”
Excuse me while I weep 😭
If I can show kids that being quiet doesn’t mean you’re not strong and fabulous, then my work here is done
(Yes, I was a shy kid growing up)
