507 people died while homeless, that’s more than triple the 157 deaths in 2020. While deaths skyrocketed, the City of Vancouver failed on both housing and access to supervised consumption sites in an area already experiencing an extreme overdose crisis cbc.ca/news/canada/british-c…

Dark Alliance: key US ally Daniel Noboa linked to S. American drug trade The Grayzone's Oscar Leon interviews Andres Durán, an Ecuadoran investigative journalist who has had to flee his country due to his allegations that billionaire, US-allied President Daniel Noboa, the Noboa family and their inner circle are intimately involved in the international drug trade. In this explosive interview, Durán reveals the following: -Ecuador, not Venezuela, is the primary departure point for cocaine shipments to the US and Europe, with Noboa's family businesses repeatedly linked to drug seizures -Multiple cocaine trafficking scandals involve Noboa-owned companies (e.g., Noboa Trading, Blasti S.A., Transmabo) and a family farm (San Luis), including shipments intercepted in Europe and 193 kg seized in 2025 -Durán accuses Noboa of heading a "criminal economy" enabled by political decisions: defunding port security, deregulating banana exports, lacking financial oversight, and using shell companies for money laundering -Investigations are allegedly obstructed without thorough probes, no arrests of high-level figures, while cases are dismissed as "contamination" despite Noboa companies controlling the full supply chain -Ecuador's criminal economy is estimated at a staggering 18-22% of GDP thanks to weak state oversight, dollarization, and documented ties to the Albanian mafia

Here's the 1993 60 Minutes report on how the CIA recruited a Venezuelan military officer, General Ramón Guillén Davila, to help them ship 22 tons of cocaine into American cities The Cartel of the Suns disappeared once it lost its utility to the CIA, and was resurrected by the US government when it began targeting Venezuela
The Trump admin accuses Nicolas Maduro of leading the now-defunct Cartel of the Suns Diego Sequera explains how the CIA directed its top Venezuelan asset to ship tons of cocaine into US cities during the early 1990's The CIA asset was known as leader of "Cartel of the Suns"

It's a drug apartheid - brutally enforced by the military, the police, customs and government departments. Prohibition is so irrational, so untenable, so harsh and brutal, it raises questions about just how civilised and advanced we really are.
'Please Sir....' 'Let me join I'm not addictive...' 'How about me I'm natural' 'What about me, I'll be good' Say no to all drug exceptionalism. The privilege of prohibition is corrupt & devastatingly damaging. Don't seek to join it. Instead unite! Seek to expose it, challenge it and overthrow this shoddy dispicable system of privilege and oppression!

The media & public are criminally misinformed about what's actually happened in mental health care since the 1950s. Mental health funding has gone up about 40-fold per capita (adj. for inflation), many more people are taking psychiatric meds, many more people are subjected to psychiatric force, many more people are trapped in coercive facilities (just a plethora of smaller ones). It's psychiatric medicating that appears to be backfiring--and there's a lot of evidence to suggest why. I delve into all this in my book. robwipond.com/your-consent-i…

The ‘War on Drugs’ destroyed lives and damaged communities. Criminalisation and prohibition have failed to reduce drug use and deter drug-related crimes. We need new approaches prioritising health, dignity and inclusion, guided by the Int.Guidelines onHuman Rights & Drug Policy.
