I was shamed by my GP/college counsellor for trying to speak up about my parents drinking. I didn't speak about it again until I was in my late 20s. These services that @NacoaUK provide are so important.

30% of children who call the Nacoa helpline have spoken to NO ONE about the problems they face. Not their family, not their school. No one. This is why it is so important to provide free accessible, confidential support, irrespective of whether their parent continues to drink.

Finishing up an info pack designed to help professionals concerned for children and young people affected by their parent's drinking during social distancing. We'd love to hear your thoughts. What things/messages do you think would help these young people stuck at home right now?
