watched the horrifying video of the acid attack on Dr. Mah Noor Nasir. She suffered burns over 70% of her face & body. The pain she must be enduring is unimaginable, and my heart breaks for her.
we continue to ignore the real issue which is the deep-rooted hatred and dehumanization of women in our society. It exists in our homes, our institutions, our conversations, and our attitudes. Until we confront that hatred at its core, more women will continue to pay the price with their safety, their dignity, and their lives.

I don't think there's any woman who doesn't fear being the next victim of acid attack or any other gender based violence by men around her.
And the worst part is that you'll see most men empathising with the culprit rather than the victim bc she's a woman.
