My mom also passed at 94. WW2 vet. Had her on ice at a Blackhawks game once. Was very meaningful to her. 👍

She made it to 94, and passed away in 2018, which is a pretty good run in anyone's book. I always think about her when you sing the national anthem at the UC. I'm pretty sure you're the reason she became a Hawks fan.

Jim, we exchanged pleasantries whilst shopping on Carb Day…it was a bit of a thrill for me. As an ex-pat Hoosier, your Back Home Again renditions are easily an emotional highlight each year. Thank you for helping me connect my now West Coast self with my Indiana roots.

It all started in 1946; the first #Indy500 after World War II ended. James Melton belted out "Back Home Again in Indiana" prior to the race for the very first time. 80 years later, IU graduate Jim Cornelison (@Anthem_Singer) will perform once again for the 10th consecutive year.
