The 2024 City of Santa Clara Earth Day/Arbor Day Celebration was spectacular.
The program was geared towards young students. Event included activities, booths, music performances by the Banana Slugs, a Tree City USA award ceremony & the ceremonial tree planting in Central Park.

Such a difficult situation our city is in. It is our collective priority to find a solution. Mayor can try & gaslight public about this. It comes down to leadership. Mayor has failed our city for decades by not delivering infrastructure needs, rather putting politics above people

More bad news for the famed International Swim Center in Santa Clara. The city is trying to find a path to reopen it temporarily while they find a long-term solution, but officials say that could cost upwards of $2 million.

Mayor Beyoncé certainly did run Santa Clara last night. I hear it was a great show. This concert would have never happened if the city council didn’t adjust the weekday curfew, so glad we did. Events like this help our local economy.

The state has ruled against the Related Companies and says the development at the old Santa Clara golf course is a public subsidy and must pay anyone who works on the project a prevailing wage.

There is such a sense of urgency to the fentanyl crisis that I commend @SenDaveCortese for using @SCCgov ‘s Fentanyl Working Group as a prototype for a statewide response to fentanyl poisoning deaths, especially among youth.
We are making progress & have much work to do.
