Breaking: Amazon CEO Andy Jassy was among the tech leaders who raised concerns to senior Trump officials this week re: security risks in Anthropic's newest models. Those convos set in motion the government's new export controls on foreign national access to Mythos and Fable.

This is exactly the kind of PR they need
The US government, citing national security authorities, has issued an export control directive to suspend all access to Fable 5 and Mythos 5 by any foreign national, whether inside or outside the United States, including foreign national Anthropic employees. The net effect of this order is that we must abruptly disable Fable 5 and Mythos 5 for all our customers to ensure compliance. Access to all other Claude models is not affected. We apologize for this disruption to our customers. We believe this is a misunderstanding and are working to restore access as soon as possible. Read our full statement: anthropic.com/news/fable-myt…

Opus 4.8 and GPT 5.5 are probably good enough for most people's workflow.

Claude Code: Auto mode Auto mode lets Claude safely complete long-running tasks without asking permission for every action. But how does it work? 4 key terms: • Classifier: a separate model that approves or denies each action based on your intent and scope • Filtering: the classifier only sees your messages and Claude's tool calls, not Claude’s reasoning or tool outputs, so it isn't influenced when making decisions • Tier check: read-only and easily-undone actions (like edits inside your repo) skip the classifier; everything else goes through it • Probe: a server-side check that scans incoming content, like web pages, for prompt injection and flags it to Claude I'm working on a longer video that explains how auto mode works and how to configure it. What questions do you have about it?

Having quite a few issues asking Siri questions. Reported on the feedback app. A little annoying.

Not touching Fable 5 again. Consumes way too much. Hard to justify its usage. Till Opus 5 🫡

You have Claude Fable for only a few days. Here's how to make the most of it. Introducing /improve: use your most capable model to audit your codebase and write plans for cheaper models to execute later. Studies your code, figures out bugs, perf, tech debt, missing tests, what to build and writes plans any agent can run.

Apple Containers is 1 year old now. You shouldn't really be using Docker unless you are doing complex Docker Compose stuff. To run containers on Apple Silicon, you do not need Docker or Podman. github.com/apple/container

🙋🏾‍♂️ - not bad tbh. For a first beta. New battery icon looks cool. Liquid Glass feels more prominent and consistent. Some stutters here and there but I’ll blame that on processing.
Welp who else is brave/dumb enough to install iOS 27 on their main phone? 😅

Our internal data shows Claude is accelerating AI development—a possible path to recursive self-improvement, or AI autonomously building a more capable successor. It’s happening faster than we thought, and the implications deserve greater attention. anthropic.com/institute/recu…

Copilot’s biggest issue isn’t cost. It isn’t product. It isn’t even the brand dilution. They have the insurmountable problem of having the actual stupidest user base of any AI product. The average Lovable user understands basic software development better than Copilot users.
