How do you tell someone that their script based on their own life is... well, boring? I ask for a friend of mine *shifty eyes*

If I can't sum up what happens in your story in four or five sentences, then how do YOU expect to do it?
The most frustrating part is now writing "plot" summaries for their reports. Please, when submitting a script, GIMME SOMETHING TO WORK WITH.

All three did it wrong.
Read 3 scripts this week that didn't seem concerned with having any plot at all. Just all character. It can work, if you do it right...
Unless a Holly Crab is a thing I don't know about? Google says it's a restaurant, but that makes no sense in the context of the story...?
Just read "Holly Crab" where it should have said "Holy Crap". That's the level of English I'm traipsing through today...

The test: If you can put "Look at how great I am!" before the good news without it appearing to change the intent, then keep it to yourself.
Someone said something nice about your work? Great. That's fine. We don't need a direct quo- Oh right, you're already Harvard Referencing.
Fine line between sharing the good news that you've received positive feedback, and sharing the feedback as if it should be good news to us.
"EXT. RUSSIA" No, really, thanks. I'll do the rest of the work from here on out.
Good job in naming your confident, infallible main character after yourself, Mr. Writer. Y'know, whatever issues you need to work through...
