Did you know? Wayup was built with decentralization in mind. At Wayup, we utilize a native Cardano feature called "Franken addresses" (not scary despite the sound🧌), which utilize the users stake key to ensure the user ultimately retains control of the asset. Any ADA or assets you lock in an offer, trade, or CO remain as active ADA for governance/staking. Why this matters? It's your money, not ours! You should be able to still exercise your rights as an ADA holder while using our app. Unlike Cardano native staking, using most dApps lock your ADA or assets, and make you unable to participate in on-chain governance/lose staking rewards. You are at the mercy of the the protocol and their decision making. Losing your voice...not cool. Ultimately, users are being punished for using the chain. Today we’re launching Hodei Wallet (hodei.io) A different kind of Cardano wallet: built for the user’s device, not the browser. We think that’s where self-custody should be headed. Browsers are powerful, but they were built for apps and content. When it comes to wallet security, we think the better place to anchor trust is the personal device; being backed by the protections people already use every day. Hodei takes a different path: • keys stay on-device • signing stays outside the dapps • the dApp and wallet stay separate by design That changes the trust model in a meaningful way. The browser is where the app runs. The device is where approval happens. Hodei keeps those roles separate, so users are not being asked to trust the same environment with everything.
