The need for a National Indigenous Treatment & Assessment Centre is beyond urgent. Recent research reveals that 1 in 4 Indigenous Australian youth have attempted suicide, and 42% have experienced suicidal thoughts.
Jilya has recently missed out on funding for this critical service and so are now going to the public to raise the funds needed.
We are seeking corporate sponsorships for our annual fundraising gala event in support of Indigenous child suicide prevention at Winthrop Hall, University of WA in Perth on 23rd November 2024.
Since 2021, we have raised over $500,000 in donations and ticket sales, and have supported and mentored 55 Indigenous Psychology students - that's around 1/6 of the current Indigenous Psychology workforce!
We have had the support of award-winning Australian artists and celebrities including John Butler, Gina Williams AM & Guy Ghouse, Paul Kelly, Colin Hay, Julia Zemiro, Mikey Robbins, and Narelda Jacobs; as well as donations from the Turnbull Foundation, Lotterywest, the Myer foundation, FGG and many more.
Plus - MASSIVE media reach with 20 million social engagements, 115 media stories, 300 syndicated pieces of promotion across print, television, and digital media including Rolling Stone!
Align your brand with Jilya and help us deliver culturally safe, clinical mental health care to our most vulnerable communities.
