When I was younger, I told my siblings my kids won't bear our surname (normally I don't like how the name sound to outsiders).
When I grew older & needed something in my LG & even Lagos State, at the mention of my name, I barely stress, cos someone knows my father or relative.

Nobody advised me to register my son birth certificate with it.
Already, I am contributing to the name, which will also ease things for my children in the future, so why would I deprive them of that cos of my stupid selfish interest? They will decide their future themselves.
