That would be interesting if it were true. App State played in a bowl game in each of its first SEVEN eligible bowl seasons, winning the first 6.

Sports “journalism” at its finest. ESPN article on the Salute to Veterans Bowl: “Jacksonville State has played in a bowl game in each of its 3 seasons at the FBS level. Marshall is the only other team (1997-99) to appear in bowl games in each of its first 3 eligible seasons. “

Our 3 year record (2022-2024) is the worst since 1980-1982. Proud of the program and the players, but this year was not App State Football as we know it. Hope we figure out what needs to change to get back on track.

Penalties were highest since 2020 and turnover margin was worst since we joined FBS. Offensively, lowest ppg since 2013 and 4th worst in 25 years. Given the preseason hype, hugely disappointing season.

Trying to put the 2024 App State football season into perspective. 1st losing record since 2013. Only the 3rd losing record in the last 40 years! The 32.9 points per game allowed is the most in App’s 95 year history. The -6.27 ppg difference was the fifth worst in 95 years.

Since NC State win their last conference championship, App State has won 16 conference titles, 3 national titles, and gone 7-1 in bowl games. Don’t give me the competition BS - we are playing peer institutions just like you.

Looking at current FBS programs since 1985, 26 have 300 or more wins. After realignment next year the SEC will have 9, Big 10 has 6, ACC and the Sunbelt both have 4, Big 12, MWC, and Independents all have 1. Common denominator: all these fanbases expect to win.

Who is running tech at the CLT airport? The execution of the QR code readers for daily parking is abysmal. We waited 5 min to enter for 1 car to scan a code. I had to go to 2 different readers & have a reader rebooted to leave the airport. Over 10 min to get a code to scan!

Appalachian State has become the only team with 4 FBS Bowl wins and no losses. They accomplished this feat tonight, in their 4th year of bowl eligibility.
