Apple is known for great customer service. Never had a problem in 20 yrs with them. But lots of badly trained people @ ElPaseo Apple.
Apple mgr offered me Time Capsule 2 help make up for the problem but I declined. This will cost me time & $ trying 2 recreate lost data.
I run 2 businesses & a lot of charity work. I need a reliable computer & could always count on my mac. Not so now. The system is a mess.
This is one negligent problem after another. No avail space when comp went to Apple, has some avail after pickup, but they say they did zip
But no recovery. Apple sez Sno Leopard overwrote system & data is gone. Why did they install Sno Leop when they knew I needed my data?
My computer guru took macbook pro to Apple for me. This time they checked it in to try recovery. Why didn't they do that the first time?
I found recovery system program on Apple shelf & purchased it. Sno Leopard Install took last of available memory, so couldn't run recovery.
Asked if RM could help w/ Snow Leopard install, computer spit out disk. He went to back room, ret'd w/ ext hard drive & began install.
Told RM data was deleted by MP, he went to back room, ret'd w/ biz card for Drive Savers. Said they don't do recovery @ Apple store.
Went early for appt @ genius bar, sat in store for hours w/ no one trying to help me. Genius' busy @ appt time, & RM sent to help.
Found items in desktop folder were aliases, they needed oriiginal source items to open. But originals were gone. Ret'd to Apple 4 recovery.
6/3 After iPad class @ El Paseo Apple store I said my macbook pro was slow. MP dragged my desktop items into 1 folder & deleted originals.
Now all i get from the lame managers in this store is they can do nothing. Can you believe this? i have lost everything because of them.
Wouldnt you expect them to know that since i was there about them deleting my data. No one even said they would try and recover it.
One of the Guys upgrading my system to Snow Leopard. Later i find out that they data can not be restored because of the upgrade.
They deleted all my company data and know one could understand at all. After spending all that time with then doing nothing.
I spent over 3 hours in the store with them doing nothing. Manager never even walked up and no one did anything to help.
Then they dumped my trash without my knowing it or even asking. I then found out 2 weeks later and then i took it in know one one would help
Dealing with the massive damage that was done by the Techs at the Apple Store in Palm Desert. they deleted all my company files.
