A few years ago I got a new XPS13 from @Dell. On opening the case I discovered that the rubberised palmrest had degraded into a sticky goo that was gluing the screen to the body. After some ineffective attempts to remove the goo, an online search shows that this is not unknown.

It seems to be a frequent occurance in tropical climates due to the heat.
With @Dell having a manufacturing facility in Penang, surely this should have been raised before - or is the XPS 13 not intended for the tropics?
