#STAARredesign Looking at all of the short constructed response questions from spring 2023 tests in all contents. RLA's text evidence piece makes it different from Sci/SocStu, but Ts of all subjects can have Ss do this type of short critical writing. docs.google.com/document/d/1…

Physics scholars are collecting data for position, velocity, and time using a lab quest as a cart rolls up and down on an inclined vernier dynamic track. Analyzing the position vs. time and velocity vs. time graphs.

Every day we have a choice. RISE AND SHINE or RISE AND WHINE. Choose to shine today! Replace “Have to” with “Get to.” Look for the good. Seize the opportunities. Feed the positive. Weed the negative. Encourage yourself and encourage others!
As a leader your job is to serve, not be served. Your team needs to know you care. Serve their heart. Your team needs to improve. Serve their talent. Your team struggles with doubt. Serve their mind and spirit. Your team has potential. Serve their growth.
4 Things Positive Leaders Do:
1. See possibilities when others don’t.
2. Focus on solutions instead of complaints.
3. Encourage people when they are feeling defeated.
4. Demonstrate commitment when others want to quit.
If they praise you, show up and do the work. If they criticize you, show up and do the work. If no one even notices you, just show up and do the work. Just keep showing up, doing the work, and leading the way.
A team that loves each other doesn’t need a lot of rules to be accountable. If you love each other you’ll want to be your best for each other. The key is to have standards and expectations.
What would you say to a T that believes in homework with all of her heart bc of “the importance of establishing a routine & preparing Ss for high school where they’ll have a lot of HW?” #ditchHW@alicekeeler@jmattmiller

“Student Scientists” vs “Science Students”, that’s what you get at Lifeschool! Love seeing teachers engage their students in the practices of scientists. @lifeschools@lifemustangs
