First of all,
@JPuncut used Origen as affirmative evidence. Not me. I used Origen as rebuttal evidence.
Second, the excerpt I cited (attached) shows Origen differentiating between different kinds of prayer. I even said that in the debate. Origen is fine with offering lower kinds of prayer to humans. His error is in offering the highest kind of prayer to the Father, only, and not the Son.
Third, my argument that Origen is referring to departed saints is absolutely a plausible reading. If
@JPuncut went to an actual Christian scholar like
@Acolyte83349490, he would have known this passage can reasonably be understood to refer to offering lesser kinds of prayer to departed saints (also attached).
In sum, instead of going to a Christian scholar,
@JPuncut went to
@MMetaphysician, a Muslim apologist, just to try and get points on the board against Orthodox Christians.
