AI can write code and solve mathematical problems. So why can't it navigate through a rainstorm or down a dark road? The missing piece is sensing. When a robot or vehicle steps outside the lab, even the smartest model is limited by what it can reliably perceive. And that's where things get complicated. That's why we've been focused on creating a perception layer AI can trust in any environment. Read more: arberobotics.com/physical-ai…

For automakers, the opportunity around eyes-off driving may be bigger than the technology itself. Arbe's latest survey found that 43% of drivers would only pay for an eyes-off driving subscription if it works reliably in any weather and lighting condition. In other words, all-condition performance isn't a premium feature, it's the baseline requirement. What's interesting is that reliability doesn't just enable adoption, it creates monetization potential. Nearly half of respondents said they would be willing to pay more for a system that operates consistently in darkness and challenging weather. See the 2026 consumer data & monetization report here: arberobotics.com/surveyrepor…

A 2nd hand car used to mean the end of the road for automakers. Now? It might just be the beginning of a whole new revenue stream. In our latest podcast, Chris Van Dan Elzen and Kobi Marenko explore how automakers are moving from a one-time sale to a subscription model, securing ongoing income via software updates and autonomy upgrades that can be sold to second, third, or even fourth owners. What if 77% of drivers were ready to take their eyes off the road? That’s exactly what we found, but only if eyes-off driving works at highway speeds, in all weather conditions. Our 2026 survey maps out what drives consumer adoption, with insights on what you should build next. Download the report here: arberobotics.com/surveyrepor…

As the automotive industry moves toward viable eyes-off driving, one thing is becoming clear: perception is the real challenge. In a new DIGITIMES Asia interview, Ram Machness, our CEO, shares why radar is playing a bigger role in solving it, and why this is an exciting moment for Arbe’s 4D imaging radar. A few takeaways we found especially interesting: 👉 Autonomy needs redundancy, not reliance on a single dominant sensor. 👉 Higher autonomy is about more than detecting objects. It’s about understanding complex, overlapping, fast-changing environments. 👉 Sensor fusion is becoming central because each sensor adds a different layer of understanding, from depth, to motion, range, and resilience. Cameras can solve 99% of autonomous driving. And that sounds great until you realize 1% still means a lot of people could be killed. Bad weather, poor lighting, and glare fail even AI-powered cameras. The question no one's addressing is: are we willing to accept a self-driving car that works perfectly 99% of the time? Our panel of experts don't have an easy answer. Watch the full answer on episode #1> arberobotics.com/podcast/

Two numbers that should get automakers' attention: 73% of drivers would switch brands for eyes-off autonomy. 69% would buy a new vehicle earlier than planned to access it. That means eyes-off autonomy can override years of brand loyalty and pull a purchase forward by months. Digging deeper: 28% of drivers said they're "very likely" to buy sooner, and 22% are "very likely" to switch brands. That's nearly one in three consumers accelerating their next car purchase. Eyes-off driving is no longer a future concept, it’s becoming a buying decision. Arbe’s latest global survey of 1,000 drivers shows that demand is already there, but only under clear conditions. 77% say they’re interested in eyes-off capabilities in their next vehicle, yet expectations are high: systems must operate reliably at highway speeds and across all weather and lighting conditions. This isn’t just interest, it’s action. 69% would buy a new vehicle sooner to access the technology, and 73% would consider switching brands if it’s not offered. Meet Shaked Rozen, Algorithm Team Lead at Arbe. "In my role as Algorithm Team Lead, my team and I develop algorithms that overcome radar limitations. We improve the radar image across multiple dimensions: better target separation and detection, better detection of weak and almost invisible targets, clearer object representation in the point cloud, and more. The exciting part is creating algorithms sophisticated enough to genuinely improve spatial resolution and dynamic range, while keeping them simple enough to run in real-time on limited radar processors." How is the next phase of automotive innovation shifting beyond the vehicle itself? In episode eight, Chris Van Dan Elzen joins Koby Marenko for a conversation on exactly that. We explore how innovation is moving from hardware inside the car to a broader ecosystem-driven by cloud connectivity, shared data, and software-defined features. From vehicles that learn from each other to real-time decision-making on the road, this shift is reshaping both the driving experience and the business models behind it.
