I'm not exaggerating that this is responsible for the worst duty sex/birth rates discourse. You'll notice the heavily moralizing language and rage in response to women saying they're negatively affected in some way- the only solution offered is to stop feeling that way.

For anyone who hasnt played Metaphor Refantazio the plot is that youre trying to kill the guy who did 9/11, but 3/4ths through the game it's revealed some other guy actually did 9/11. The 1st guy kills the other guy and then reveals hes going to do 1000 9/11s

metaphor's narrative is really refreshing in atlus' modern catalogue because the entire plot is just We Need to Fucking Kill This Guy, no contrived third act twist villain needed

i've seen a big problem where a villain/antagonistic character is revealed to have a sad/sympathetic backstory and the fandom immediately assumes the backstory presentation is trying to *justify* the villain's actions and ends up getting angry over it

It's called gender detachment and the only reason I found out about it was by reading a study about asexual women(which is what I am) and how most of them didn't care about gender like that even though they weren't non binary.
