In 2025, the NIH announced that it would no longer fund DEI-related research. This new paper finds that black and hispanic academics experienced the largest relative reductions in being funded by the NIH from 2024 to 2025, which suggests that they were the individuals most involved in DEI research.

Women have been the beneficiaries of preferential hiring in academia for many years. Yet, the moaning and groaning continues. This time, job advertisements are not sufficiently female friendly.
"This paper presents an original gender inclusion analysis framework and reports on its use to critically assess 140 senior academic job adverts as an underexplored institutional mechanism that may help sustain gender inequality in academic leadership. This research concludes that such adverts are not gender inclusive, as most do not explicitly encourage nor support gender diversity, and many contain subtle signals that could increase women's perceived lack of fit with advertised roles; 41% of adverts utilized masculine wording, which could deter female candidates; just 15% (n = 21) prioritized women via a positive action statement; specific employee benefits, which could signal support for applicants with (child)caring responsibilities, were not prioritized, with 11% (n = 15) and 6% (n = 9) of adverts promoting family-friendly policies or an on-site nursery, respectively, and only 6% of roles were listed with a part-time working opportunity."

"The "boy crisis" has been widely reported on, but advocates and experts tell CBC there can still be a hesitancy to be seen propping up boys, given the existing inequalities for women in today’s society....
For Soraya Chemaly, the American author of All We Want Is Everything: How We Dismantle Male Supremacy, the "boy crisis" often only refers to areas where girls are doing well but doesn’t include the larger system of "male supremacy" in the workforce.
Despite some gains over the years, women remain in fewer management roles, holding 42.7 per cent of middle management and 30.8 per cent of senior management positions, according to Statistics Canada data from 2021.
Meanwhile, StatsCan reported in 2025 that women still only earned 88 cents for every dollar men earned.
"Regardless of how boys and men operate in school systemically, structurally in our societies, they still maintain power," Chemaly said. "So as long as that disconnect between performance and power is relevant, then investments in education become less and less important for boys.""

I fully agree. The statement:"equal rights for women"
Can only be true if:
-Men have more rights.
-Men are oppressing women rights.
As such feminism has:
-A noble goal
-An enemy
-An oppressed group
Which means it had all the traits of an ideology from day 1.

I'm fucking exhausted of this endless war on men. I'm sick and tired of constantly reading how men are trash, how little boys are just future predators, how sons "should be aborted".
I'm done with all the casual, toxic hatred thrown at men just for existing as men. And the worst part? It's all excused and celebrated because "some men are misogynistic or hate women". As if that somehow justifies the tidal wave of misandry flooding Twitter every single day.
The dehumanisation is disgusting, treating men like garbage and disposable tools while demanding they treat us like queens. It's hypocritical, it's vile and it has to stop.
I fight against misogyny AND misandry, but it's clear that misandry is getting louder, bolder and more mainstream every damn day. And it's being fueled by bots and ragebait accounts who push their twisted lies like "we shame women for 'this' but not men for 'that'" when the truth is that women get celebrated and supported for this while men get mocked, attacked and/or shamed for 'that'.
I will keep fighting against the injustices anyone faces, I'm just so goddamn tired of this double standards.
