Highly dynamic WX situation this morning. Westerly winds at FL180 are FCST 40 kts. Lower clouds are pushed rapidly along. Possible clear WX is around 2-3 hrs away -> aiming to be on station at 0700 Z.

AAR 14 JUN Another tough day of operation due to challenging WX conditions. Due to missing up-to-date WX SAT IMG when airborne at flight level 185, we decided to abort the mission when in fact the TGT area we had vacated unexpectedly cleared for another good hour!

Having arrived in high spirits at the LSGC airport and expecting to have dinner in Romania, we got thwarted by the WX preventing us from leaving. See attached slide for a review. Chances for XFER success tomorrow remain mixed.

AVIRIS-4 is built into the aircraft and cooling down to be ready for imaging tomorrow after refuelling in Maribor. Provided the WX is good enough we will try imaging the Forocici Mud Volcanoes and a line near Oradea.
