Was in a coffee shop earlier doing some work and heard the people next to me looked like they were in their 20s maybe early 30s talking about where they watching the Knicks on Saturday. And it really felt like this is probably their 5th game they ever watched. The city is buzzing
I have to say that Mike Brown’s coaching this entire playoffs has been some of the best coaching I have seen in a long time. He keeps finding adjustments and tweaks within games. He’s done it over and over again throughout these playoffs. It’s truly a masterclass

Too much Brunson iso tonight. kAT had his worst game of the playoffs. They reverted back to bad habits from the ATL series. Credit to the Spurs. They played more desperate and really executed in the second half. Tough resilient team. Knicks are going to have to earn this.
Spencer Pratt won the Twitter election but came in 3rd of the actual election. This reminds me when I was in Kindergarten and we voted for President of the US for fun. And Mondale won in a landslide over Reagan and I was confused when Reagan won the election. I was 5.
This is the mentality. And it’s legit. It goes back to the Nova days. They have a mission. And as long as there are still minutes left on the clock Brunson is going to be dead locked focused. He truly has a killer mentality.
The LA Mayor election is like example 1 Billion and 7 where Twitter “experts” don’t understand that this place isn’t real life. And that also when an election result doesn’t end the way you want it to it doesn’t mean it’s nefarious.
Also the same kind of people claimed that NYC was going to slide into some dystopian hellscape once they elected a Democratic Socialist. And we are 6 months deep into it and nothing of the sort is even remotely close.
Also they are going to claim that if Pratt isn’t elected Mayor that LA will become an extinct city. They aren’t serious people. And their history of predicting outcomes is pretty terrible. Just like thinking that voting for Trump was going to be good for the economy.
There is a certain poise that KAT has been playing with through these playoffs that he hasn’t shown before. He used to be a very emotionally charged player. And would get into holes where his play suffers and becomes inconsistent. He seems to have unlocked something mentally
We always knew KAT was a skillful and gifted player. He just wasn’t able to put it all together. But he finally is doing it. It’s really mentality. He’s found some comfort in himself and confidence that is making him such a force for these Knicks. It’s impressive to see.
That game last night was devastating for the Spurs. They made the comeback and came up short. Meanwhile it left the Knicks pissed they gave up the lead. So they aren’t going to be going back to the Garden complacent with a 2-0 lead.
That’s legit the worst way the spurs could lose. Because now the Knicks are going to be pissed they have up that lead and let them back in the game. Give the spurs credit for coming back. But damn it is going to really ignite the Knicks. And Brunson is also shooting terribly
What’s funny is that my daughter is named “Bronx” (her mother is from Soundview) but I will never ever consider myself a New Yorker. I think you are one of you grew up here. Not necessarily born here. Plus I’m from DC and love being from there. Though I love NYC too.
The thing about the Spurs making an adjustment posting Wemby more is that he won’t be able to get position against KAT or Mitch low enough. And they won’t need to double him. He simply doesn’t have that game developed. So it isn’t really an option.
I don’t really care about Trump attending game 3 at MSG on Monday. I’m watching from home. Don’t care if he’s booed. I just think anytime any President goes to a major sporting event it’s a total pain in the ass for everyone else because of the security. Get there early.
