Excited to share my latest article, examining how the anti-govt movement managed its narrative during the Trump administration. I examine a novel corpus of Oath Keepers statements and follower comments to trace these narrative changes. Check it out here: jstor.org/stable/27185089

Excited that the panel Austin and I organized got accepted for ISA! We have a cool project on maps and leaders during conflict, and got a great group of folks doing fascinating work on maps and geography.
To those in IR interested in this maps stuff: ISA 2022 will feature a panel on maps, history, and IR with some cool maps-as-data projects.

IR folks: are you doing new research about maps or using maps as data? I’m organizing a panel submission for #ISA2022 with @AriWeil and we’d love to hear from you, esp grad student and junior faculty. DM us with details if interested in presenting a paper

There are at least 2 reasons why we should be talking about white supremacy re what happened at the Capitol yesterday. The first is the structural racism & bias in the Capitol police response to violent white rioters esp in comparison to their “readiness” & actions yesterday, 1/

This is so frightening. Trump spent years priming his supporters to doubt elections and elected GOP humored him and challenged the results. He used that to incite supporters to storm the seat of government. And now we have an armed standoff in the House chamber. Sickening.

Great new research on female militancy in SE Asia. Exciting to see the Yulia Novi case revisited and contextualized with original regional data!
From a fantastic all-women team of scholars! New pub w/ @JuliaLodoen @futuredrwillis @nakissapjahan. Our article explores how linkages w/ transnational groups shape female participation within their overseas affiliate organizations. tandfonline.com/eprint/YNUK8…
