might be an unpopular opinion but I gotta say I am not a fan of PWHL Detroit being named the Riveters or Vipers. I hope it’s like the expansion teams last year where they went with names that nobody had guessed. I want something new and exciting, Riveters ain’t it for me

Seeing Hannah Bilka hated on for calling Detroit a sports city is crazy. She’s not saying Seattle ISN’T a sports city, she’s saying Detroit is a bigger hockey city. Seattle has had an NHL team for five years, Detroit has had one for 100 years.

This isn’t even taking into account Detroits history with other sports, but Detroit is literally Hockeytown. I’d argue Detroit is the city with the biggest hockey history outside of Canada. Shes not insulting Seattle, she’s respecting Detroit and its long history with pro hockey.
