In LEO, satellites orbit Earth at nearly 27,000 km/h, circling the planet in about 100 minutes. It’s a dynamic environment, where precision and flexibility are key, especially for deploying constellations of satellites.

Before satellites reach orbit, everything starts on the ground. At Europe’s Spaceport, Arianespace teams bring their expertise to every step of the preparation process. Inside the Payload Preparation Complex, each satellite undergoes a precise and carefully sequenced preparation process: • Installation on dedicated platforms • Functional testing to ensure mission readiness • Propellant fueling under strict safety conditions In these controlled environments at Europe’s Spaceport, multiple satellites can be processed simultaneously, meeting the highest standards of precision and safety.

Once ready, satellites are transferred to the encapsulation building. There, they are integrated under the fairing using Ariane 6’s dedicated handling systems, forming the launcher’s upper composite. This entire process requires seamless coordination, technical expertise, and absolute rigor, ensuring every satellite is fully prepared for launch. Because mission success doesn’t start at liftoff. It starts here, on the ground. Photos taken on VA266 mission - Galileo #LaunchingAmbitions

Launching Ambitions. Space is not defined by a single mission. It is shaped by a diversity of ambitions, to connect, to navigate, to observe and to protect. Each mission comes with its own objectives, its own constraints, its own destination. With Ariane 6, Arianespace is designed to meet this diversity with flexibility and performance. From deploying constellations like Amazon Leo in low Earth orbit, enabling navigation with Galileo, observing our planet with Sentinel-1D, to supporting defense missions like CSO-3. Ariane 6 adapts to a wide range of missions, customers and orbital requirements. Because access to space is not one-size-fits-all. It is about enabling every mission, every ambition. #LaunchingAmbitions @Amazonleo @ArianeGroup @esa @CNES @EU4Space @EuropeSpacePort @OHB_SE @CopernicusEU @EU_Commission @ESA_EO @DGA @Armee_de_lair @Armees_Gouv
