Reminder: Coming up at 9:00 a.m. CT, Ryan Malone talks with Spotlight about his new oratorio Lamentations of Jeremiah. Listen live ... classicalkuco.org/listen/

🎹World Premiere: New Oratorio Inspired by October 7 Edmond composer Ryan Malone debuts Lamentations of Jeremiah — a powerful new oratorio setting the entire biblical book of Lamentations to music for the first time in modern history. Inspired by the silence Malone experienced in Jerusalem right after the October 7, 2023 Hamas attacks, the work is scored for full orchestra, chorus, and soloists. It blends classical orchestration with Middle Eastern modes and is sung in both English and Hebrew. Malone will discuss the work with Spotlight on the Arts on Classical @KUCOfm 90.1 FM this Thursday, April 16, in the 9 o’clock hour. Stream live → classicalkuco.org/ Don’t miss the world premiere: Sunday, April 26 at 2:00 p.m. Armstrong Auditorium, Edmond, OK Tickets from $35 → ArmstrongAuditorium.org Bonus: A preview cello suite by Malone (performed by his son Seth) is streaming now on Spotify and Amazon Music.
