the city can absolutely be held accountable btw. they halved the staff that were supposed to do safety management & traffic control just days before. if their own officials don't wanna be deployed for concerts then they gotta stop renting out the stadium for "commercial events"๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ

I wasn't in Busan, so I can't speak directly on what happened there. What I can speak on is BTS concerts. I've attended more BTS events than I can count in the 13 years I've been a fan. Most recently, I was at the Gwanghwamun comeback event, the Goyang tour kickoff, and all Las Vegas shows. In all of those cases, my experience was the opposite of chaos. At Goyang, I used facial recognition entry. I had my face scanned and was inside the venue in less than a minute. There were no massive bottlenecks, no confusion, and no disorder. Fans who opted not to use facial recognition were still able to enter through organized queues. There were countless official and unofficial activities outside the venue, yet everything remained remarkably orderly. No one pushed anyone, no one yelled at anyone. Organizers were strict as to where we can or cannot stand or which way we can go but we were never yelled at, pushed or misled. Las Vegas was similar. Yes, the lines were long on the first day, but long lines and chaos are not the same thing. The line existed. The line moved. VIP attendees received their gifts and wristbands on time and not a single one didn't get their gifts. If anything, the criticism at the time was that there was almost too much control rather than too little. What stands out most is the level of coordination surrounding BTS events. Las Vegas shut down roads and redirected traffic. Seoul and Goyang extended bus and train operations and adjusted transportation schedules to accommodate concertgoers. We've heard similar stories from other BTS stops over the years, whether in Mexico, California, Florida, or elsewhere. Major BTS concerts typically involve extensive planning between organizers, venues, transportation authorities, local governments, security teams, and event operators. Again, I wasn't in Busan, so I'm not making claims about what happened there. But based on my own experience attending BTS events across multiple countries and venues, what people are describing doesn't sound consistent with the standard of planning and crowd management I've personally experienced. If this was a BigHit failure, there would have been at least one venue who experienced the same thing but there has been none. If there were failures, they should be identified. But they should be identified accurately, not simply assigned to BTS or BigHit because they are the easiest to blame. I've attended concerts after concerts of BTS. THIS HAS NEVER HAPPENED. - Fairlane zurl.co/kWwfg #BTS #BTSARMY #BigHitMusic #Busan #ConcertSafety #EventManagement

I'll be honest, as someone who has professionally helped organise large-scale events, the issues being reported from Day 1 of Arirang in Busan (12 June 2026) don't point to failures by BTS or BigHit/HYBE. Instead, they appear to be failures in venue operations, crowd management, and local event execution. Based on what we've seen from attendees, the primary failures appear to sit with: โ€ข Government representatives โ€ข Venue management โ€ข Local event organisers โ€ข Security contractors Reports from the timeline include: โ€ข Significant delays getting attendees into the venue โ€ข Poor crowd management and queue control โ€ข Gift distribution that appears to have been poorly planned โ€ข Technical issues with NOL FacePass verification โ€ข Reports of inadequate medical staffing, equipment, and emergency response resources โ€ข Poorly managed entry points โ€ข Reports of unprofessional conduct from some security staff towards attendees โ€ข Public transport operating on normal schedules despite the event running significantly late โ€ข Traffic police directing attendees away from the venue while tens of thousands of people were simultaneously attempting to access buses, trains, taxis, and rideshares โ€ข Insufficient transport and crowd-dispersal planning for the volume of people leaving the stadium at once Having attended Yet To Come in 2022, I still remember how difficult it was to leave the venue. At one point, the crowd density became high enough that I was genuinely concerned about crowd crush. That's why transport planning and crowd dispersal aren't minor operational details - they're critical safety measures. BigHit/HYBE are renting the venue and producing the show, but venue operations, crowd control, security staffing, emergency services, transport coordination, and infrastructure are often managed locally through the venue, local organisers, contractors, and government agencies. What stands out to me is that if this level of operational dysfunction were primarily a BigHit/HYBE issue, we'd expect to see similar problems at BTS concerts everywhere. Instead, we continue to see recurring concerns associated with this specific venue and its management. Unfortunately, BigHit/HYBE are the most visible organisation attached to the event, so they're often the first to receive criticism when something goes wrong. However, based on the issues being reported, many of these failures fall within the responsibilities of venue management, local event organisers, security providers, transport coordinators, and government agencies. As someone who has worked on large-scale events, I think it's important that accountability is directed at the parties actually responsible for each aspect of event delivery. Not every operational failure at a BTS concert is automatically a BigHit/HYBE failure, particularly when the same concerns continue to emerge around the same venue and local management structures.
