Democrats are not liberals. A liberal knows that virtue cannot exist in the face of compulsion.

If you want to waste a couple of hours of your life on a satire so heavy handed that it circles back and swallows its own tail, watch “Don’t Look Up.” “Progressive” navel-gazing, histrionics, scientism, and rejection of feedback from reality are on display here, though the movie believes itself an indictment of Trump.

Looks like Chutkan won't indulge Democrat anti-DOGE hysteria, and if she does, SCOTUS will overrule. Blue morons: 0, Trump: something like 1,000 at this point. PS - DOGE was created under the Obama administration? It was originally called the US Digital Service.

The difference between the Democrats and the GOP isn't between helping or not helping people; It's between confiscating 25% of the average American's income, giving it to others, and calling it "help," or trusting the American people to help others directly.

So catch it - Democrats are seriously arguing that reducing government power is “authoritarian.” I guess no one taught them what THAT word means, either.

Remember how proggies were crowing about how Petro in Columbia was refusing US repatriation flights? 🦗🦗🦗🦗

Trump's pardon of most J6 rioters is simply not an issue, but his pardon of those convicted of assault was a bad move. Trump's ending of DEI was an awesome move. There are no downsides to this. The Ibram X. Kendi theory of anti-racism is dead for at least four years. Trump's beginning the mass deportations is an awesome move, but I share some "progressives" concern that people may be denied due process.

These Nazi salutes can travel through time! Romans were giving Nazi salutes going back to 14BC, 1900 years before Nazis existed.

I am very happy Trump trounced Harris and got a trifecta. However, to all those in the outdoor crowd booing when Harris entered the rotunda: that was a bad show. We won, and won decisively - the GOP has always held a degree of moral high ground over the Democrats, and it would be a shame to sacrifice that now.

LGBT is an auxonym -- an abbreviation that just keeps on growing [the Greek word "auxesis" means growth or increase]. I lived through GL, GLB and LGB, but after the "T" I refused to honor any further expansions in my own writing.

When I was 39, @lancearmstrong inspired me to take up competitive cycling. For 10 years it made an amazing difference in my life, and then an L2 compression fracture took me out of action followed by severe coronary artery disease. Lance took a big fall in 2013, and many repudiated him. I did not, and I remain grateful for his example. No matter what else, he is an incredible athlete. In 2025 I am getting back on the bike. I am 60 and 50 pounds heavier and post-5CABG. But I'm going to push to get as lean and healthy as I can to reenter competition - or die (perhaps literally) trying. Thank you, AGAIN Lance, for the inspiration.

What came first, weather or climate change? Hint: climate is a retrospective aggregation of weather conditions. Answer: weather. Therefore, climate change does not cause weather. Specific atmospheric conditions cause weather, which when retrospectively aggregated tells us what the climate change has been since the last time we checked.

The West’s universalism is the weapon with which its antagonists seek to destroy it. Every popular reaction to the misbehavior of immigrants is avoided by asserting ists, isms, and phobias. Groups that should turn their anger on their own turn it against their hosts instead.

A new alternative definition for “scarper”: to make an obnoxious comment to a person to whom you are losing an argument and then block that person.
