Today is the anniversary of Mum’s death. She died when I was 10. I went to a ballet thing while she sat at home, at the end of hope, & when I came back she gave me a little handpainted trivet with a ballet dancer on it. Later that night she was taken to hospital for the last time

Mother’s Day has been a sad day as long as I can remember. More than 40 years mourning a mum I barely had. I do have a lovely Stepmum tho. This year, she’s missing dad terribly & the snowdrops he planted two years ago (but never saw) finally flowered - so this is her gift 🌸
