Twenty years ago, this would have been a multimillion dollar cross promotional advertisement or something airing during the Super Bowl, worked on for months by extremely talented VFX artists.
My team won 1st place for the Afference track at the Stanford XR hackathon this weekend
I can now brag about being a 2x Stanford XR hackathon winner :)
(2023 and 2025)
My entire team is current/former SJSU students, so we decided to call ourselves the "Spatial Spartans" lol
Did Chat GPT really just say "Yep" to me? 🤣To me when someone says "Yep" it's like they are saying yes and rolling their eyes at the same time. I guess that's how AI feels about 99.99% of questions that humans ask it though lol.
It's surprising to me there isn't really any great virtual reality apps for learning how to be an electrician. I've found a few of them but they are either not great or you have to "schedule a demo" in order to try them (just publish it! why hide it like that).
Imagine...
You tap headphones to your phone and it pairs over bluetooth instantly.
You tap a wireless mouse to your computer and it pairs instantly.
You tap AR glasses to a bluetooth keyboard and they pair instantly.
No hassle trying to pair devices using pairing apps.
Interesting idea for Snap: make Lens Studio able to export WebXR apps and then apps made in Lens Studio would work on any XR headset including Spectacles, Meta Quest, and Apple Vision Pro.
Keyboards need a new “AI complete” button. Sometimes when I press tab, I actually just wanted to use the tab key not generate that AI suggested block of code.
How many XR games do you know that can be played online multiplayer cross platform between Meta Quest and Apple Vision Pro?
(besides the obvious famous example Table Soccer)
"Making an electric car more aerodynamic makes it's battery charge faster"
This statement is FALSE if you measure charging speed in terms of energy gained per time.
However...
This statement is TRUE if you measure charging speed in terms of miles of range gained per time.
And arguably, miles of range gained is more important to the end user than energy gained. So the statement, "making an electric car more aerodynamic makes it's battery charge faster" is true for practical purposes.
