Remembering what could've been with the @warriors Pier 30-32 arena proposal.
I appreciated the public outdoor ramp that circled the exterior and the glass cutaway that afforded views of the Bay Bridge from the basketball court.

I mean what does Passan and Olney know…just a couple of hacks.
This is patently untrue. The A's made the playoffs six times in nine seasons from 2012 to 2019, and the pandemic season aside, averaged around 20,000 at the Coliseum in the bottom third of the AL.

In 2020 no fans were permitted and in 2021 limited attendance was still in effect. In 2022, coming off a lockout, the A’s traded Olson, Chapman, Bassitt and Manaea before the season and went on to lose 102 games. 2023 they announced the move to Vegas after the first homestand.
I'm sympathetic to the fans, don't get me wrong, but the A's haven't averaged more than 11,000 a home game since before the 2020 pandemic season. I covered it for all of my 51 seasons as a baseball writer. It's so sad on so many different fronts.
