Still pushing hard on TSUNAGI, trying to make it consistently forge and behave correctly on Preview. Every day I'm hitting the faucet, hoping for enough funds to get a few more shots at leader slots and gather more real-world data. Slowly but surely, we're getting there.
That said, being an SPO is getting harder and harder.
I recently lost another delegator, and honestly, I've started asking myself whether I should continue as an SPO at all. Not because I don't believe in Cardano, but because the economics are becoming increasingly difficult for a small independent operator.
The reality is that I'm building a node. Testing, validating, and iterating requires opportunities to forge blocks. When you're only seeing a handful of leader slots, progress naturally takes time. That's just part of the journey.
Then there are the practical realities: server costs, infrastructure costs, and the fact that everything seems to be getting more expensive while the broader crypto market remains challenging.
As a solo builder, I have to make smart decisions.
At the same time, I still believe node diversity matters. I still believe Cardano benefits from independent operators and alternative implementations. That's the reason TSUNAGI exists in the first place.
Whether I ultimately remain an SPO or not, TSUNAGI itself is moving forward. The mission hasn't changed.
Every observation, every leader slot, every test, every failure, and every breakthrough teaches us something new.
So for now, I keep building.
No time for whining—that's for sure.
Maybe this post is just a little stress relief after a long day of debugging, testing, and chasing the next piece of truth. 😂
