We have an exciting new signing in Assembly today! Last year we joined forces with the fantastic team at @paperpanther to do an animation scene in a live action ad for Tesco. It was such a pleasure working with them that we decided to make it official!

We loved joining forces with Lochlainn McKenna for this. His Director’s Cut brings us on a journey through a little girl’s memories of her first GAA game with her Dad.

Maria was a PHMuseum Photography Grant Finalist in 2020; selected as one of the ‘Best New Talent of Photo London 2020’ by the Guardian; and received the Finnish Art Promotion Centre’s One Year Grant in 2021.
We are thrilled to announce our latest signing today. The wonderful Maria Lax has joined the roster. We’re huge fans of Maria’s work and can’t wait to collaborate with her.
Maria has created commercial work for clients including Apple, Channel 4, Vogue Italia, Virgin Records, British Telecom and Samsung.
Lax was a winner of British Journal of Photography’s Female in Focus awards, 2019 and a finalist in the BJP Portrait of Humanity, 2020.
Maria is a Finnish photographer and director based between London and West Cork. Her projects explore themes of identity, belief and modern folklore and have been widely exhibited internationally.
