Many desires are not inherently wrong. The real issue often lies in the methods we use to fulfill them.
For instance, wanting money is not sinful.
Money provides security, stability, and the ability to care for oneself and others—natural human needs.
In the Vaishnava tradition, wealth is associated with Lakshmi, the divine consort of Vishnu, so wealth itself is not considered impure.
The problem arises when:
Wealth becomes an obsession.
One acquires it through dishonesty, exploitation, or greed.
It is pursued at the cost of dharma (righteous conduct).
