The Orion spacecraft recently ignited its main engine on the service module for about six minutes to provide about 6,000 pounds of thrust. This maneuver sets the Artemis II astronauts on the path to the Moon.

L-1 of the Artemis II launch. Preparations to get the Integrity crew and capsule to space continue…I get to work with a group called Exploration Ground Systems – or EGS - throughout our prep for this mission and with a phenomenal team called the “Closeout Crew”.

My job as an Astronaut Support Person (or ASP) is to prep Integrity for flight. I work in the capsule to make everything is exactly as expected – from the seats to the switches. Teamwork truly does make the dream work! Let’s go fly!
