One of the upcoming changes in Astrobotanica will be a major expansion of the aspect system used by plants and tonics. Plants will soon gain unique aspects with different effects.
We’re also introducing a new digestion bar on the HUD. It will consist of multiple segments that can be filled through Passive aspects, limiting how many plants and tonics can be consumed at once. Applied aspects will also disappear over time.
The updated system is built around aspect pairs, encouraging experimentation and making tonic crafting feel more like a light logical puzzle where balancing positive and negative effects becomes important.
This is only the beginning - future updates may introduce entirely new aspects, including ones that allow resources to be combined in new ways.
