Mfw I’m a narcissist and think everyone else are goofball impatient jeets and I got to help design a product that rewards me with their $ when I’m right.

Imagine praying you can go above b/e on hedging costs to to squeeze the last bit of vol out of a 50% stable asset instead of levering it to become a super yield bearing risk asset with similar volatility to its non-yield bearing blue-chip underlying…

Lyra is going to have jack shit for liquidity on Arbitrum. Their AMM is barely above break-even, and they won't be able to offer enough token incentives to make being an LP worthwhile. There are better things to do with your stables that don't carry the same level of risk.
🧐Question: What is the problem for most on chain options protocols? 🤑Answer: Lack of liquidity. TLDR: @lyrafinance chads are going to collateralize & hedge their AMM via @GMX_IO’s GLP for deep liquidity 🤌🏻

I think they are good-faith builders, but I'll happily go on the record to predict their liquidity will never truly scale before someone bootstraps an on-chain liquid order book that makes them redundant and comparatively inefficient.

Sustainable stablecoin yield is a 10-figure opportunity, and it will be built on $GLP. Gamma Neutral strategies are the key. It’s impossible to be Delta Neutral if you don’t consider the gamma—it gets you REKT. Let’s break down 'Gamma Neutral' jUSDC further 👇

I’ve been waiting months to tell you what’s coming for Jones jUSDC: Highest USDC yield on the market ~6-8%. Forget delta neutral, It’s gamma neutral jGLP: Liquidation-proof smart leverage on GLP. It’s like ETH that pays you 60% APR in real yield Don’t believe it? Read on 👇

If the shoe fits... gotta love derivatives platforms that are derivatives of other platforms.
Something something mimetic theory

Hey what happened? I thought pre-revenue startups were bullish bro.

Unlike stocks, crypto for the most part has no earnings to evaluate the space on. Therefore, logically it shouldn’t necessarily be impacted by something like a European energy crisis, especially now that traditional market participants r likely out of the space.

Have never seen a tweet so clearly demonstrate someone’s complete enslavement to their emotions and lack of any understanding of what it takes to build and operate a protocol day to day. You funded a fucking pre-revenue startup dude. It takes time to achieve PMF and min-max it.

Remember that time we handed $70M to @JPEGd_69’s team of like 5 dudes to ostensibly build an NFT lending platform but in reality get rich mining @ConvexFinance. Good times.

🚨NEW🚨 On the @bankofengland intervention: Am told the BoE were responding to a “run dynamic” on pension funds - a wholesale equivalent of the run which destroyed Northern Rock. Had they not intervened, there would have been mass insolvencies of pension funds by THIS AFTERNOON.

Chains dropping tokens to emit for incentives after DeFi TVL took a 2/3 haircut do not understand the assignment. They're fighting over the scraps to get a month or two of mercenary liquidity before the yield gets diluted and apes move on.

Optimism has 1.93bil TVL, with over 3/4 of that in AAVE just there to suck the $OP emissions on stables. Arbitrum has 1.15bil TVL, with only ~1/4 of that in lending protocols, *without* any need for a chain-wide token incentive.

As an aside, this includes balances that have been lent out, which is being extremely generous and assuming that capital borrowed on a chain stays on that chain. It doesn't. A lot of stables borrowed from AAVE on Optimism are being put to work elsewhere in DeFi.

how much further the scales will tip when an ecosystem token is released strategically to compound that effect. If you have an attention span longer than a squirrel, you shouldn't want them to just puke out a token at a random point in the middle of a bear market.

Wait to drop a token and use it to fight for a slice of a much larger overall DeFi TVL pie than exists right now.
