This letter from #Ethiopia's Foreign Minister to @SecRubio appears to be the latest attempt for Addis to prepare its case for a renewed conflict with Eritrea. The Trump Admin is in desperate need of a Horn of Africa policy before the ongoing and future conflicts all converge.

#Ethiopian_Airlines signs agreement with #UAE company for new $6 billion airport design
Ethiopian Airlines has signed an agreement with UAE company #Dar to carry out design work for a new mega airport to be constructed near #Bishoftu at a cost of 6 billion USD.
According to local media reports, the company will finalize and submit the design of the airport in one year and will have consultancy role during the construction of the airport which will take five years to finish.
The airport, to be constructed on a 35 square kilometer land, will serve more than 100 million passengers annually upon full completion, and will have a landing and take-off capacity of up to 4 planes at the same time.
Bole International airport currently has the capacity of serving 25 million passengers annually.

Apparently, there was a case seen by the Fed Court on crimes against liberty & reputation of persons under the Computer Crime Proclamation, Article 13. The defamation case was filed by artist Helen Bedilu. The court found the defendants guilty & sentenced them to up to 8 years ๐ฎ

According to @ethiopiainsider, a new bill is awaiting parliamentary approval granting the director of the Immigration and Citizenship Service full authority to add or remove individuals from the immigration blacklist, transferring this power from the courts to the director. ๐คฆโโ๏ธ๐คฆโโ๏ธ
