New paper out by the awesome Luzi Xu!
We asked whether mere exposure to (currently disregarded) visual objects, expedites encoding of these objects into memory when we select them for action later. Our data show that we passively build up memory traces for (non-selected) items.

New preprint alert!
In the first project of my PhD, we use RIFT to show that the visual system is not passively recruiting mechanisms of external attention for prioritization in VWM, but is instead using space as an organizational principle to store and select items in VWM.
