Often, I find colleges that extend their deposit deadlines because of FAFSA delays leave contradictory info on key web pages implying deadlines are still May 1. So, a plea: If you're going to extend (and I hope you do), make it clear. Put it in bold on all your platforms.

Dear Colleges,
Please stop asking students to pay enrollment deposits without having financial aid.
I can’t drive a car off the lot without knowing what it costs. Students can’t make college choices without knowing what it’s going to cost & $500-1000 is a lot.
