ALT Dear Audio Verse Awards Team, My name is Sorren and I’m a producer on The Attic Monologues. We recently nominated our team for the 2024 awards, before we became aware of the use of AI images on your site. As many on X, formerly known as Twitter, have already pointed out, these low quality images not only undermine the professionalism of the Audio Verse Awards, but spark concern regarding your policies associated with use of AI in audio fiction when it comes to eligibility for the awards.

ALT valuable pillar of the indie community, celebrating shows that might not otherwise receive the attention they deserve. However, we feel that the use of AI images are antithetical to the creativity and skill that the Audio Verse Awards purportedly celebrates, and undermines your mission. We also feel it would be insulting for our talented team- our writer, director, actors, artist, sound designers and composer- to have their hard work pitted against soulless AI generated equivalents, which themselves are often generated from the stolen creative work of others. For these reason, unless the Audio Verse Awards removes its AI images and releases a clear statement on whether shows made using AI will be eligible for the awards, we would like our nomination to be rescinded from this year’s Audio Verse Awards.
